Getting started
A quality improvement (QI) project usually starts with an idea or a problem that you would like to solve. If you are starting with a problem, it is important to get to the root-cause.

Measuring and sharing data is vital part of being successful in QI.
All quality improvement efforts require input and support from a range of individuals, and we cannot expect to change the behaviours of the people around us without engaging with them first.
After testing a change on a small scale, learning from each test, and refining the change through several PDSA cycles, you may decide to implement the change on a wider scale; for example, for an entire pilot population or on an entire unit.
