Welcome to Be the Change

Welcome to Be the Change

'Be the Change' is Part of the ASPH improvement programme; aiming to empower all staff to identify opportunities for, and support them to deliver, quality improvement.

ASPH Improvement Movement

ASPH Improvement Movement

Building on the 10year success of our Be the Change programme, we have launched the 'Improvement Movement', a second social movement for change at ASPH. Working in the current context that is healthcare today is challenging - resources are poor, demand is high and the pressure is on. This can be pretty demotivating when it comes to improvement, but being part of a social movement where everyone is striving towards a common goal is very motivating, helping to overcome feelings of inertia and isolation.

‘Be the Change’ launched in February 2014 as a programme conceived by junior doctors (F1s), based on social movement theory and inspired by the national NHS Change Day.
